res·o·nance - noun
"Electricity- that condition of a circuit with respect to a given frequency or the like in which the net reactance is zero and the current flow a maximum." This definition of resonance as electricity is a great scientific way of the truth - we are all energy. What frequency do you choose to resonate at?

Michael Phelps Resonates

At 23, Michael Phelps is a great example of what it means to be alive. I make several assumptions: he's clearly got discipline to train since age 10 to be the great athlete he is; he's had a environment conducive to believing he can achieve whatever he sets his heart and mind on. I don't know anything about Michael personally other than an amazing and consistent record of great accomplishment. I did read that in 2004 he had a DUI and had to speak at schools around the country for over a year about drinking and driving. I'd love to hear what he truly thought of having to do that and at the end - what he thought of the experience. In the end - what I believe is true is our results. Regardless of personal anguish, parents who divorced when he was young and I am sure a lot more - he appears to be living alive. May he and the countless others (who made it Olympic trials, who qualified to be in Beijing right now and the few who earn a medal) be blessed for honoring themselves with giving it their best!

  1. I am always uplifted by watching and sharing as people do the best they can in every moment....the special olympics are a great example of overcoming obstacles and simply doing the best one can...my wife doesn't get why I enjoy watching baseball....I really enjoy and am fed by watching edgar martinez rip another double or ichiro have a 25 plus game hitting streak....and the true blessing of watching Jr romp and play in centerfield and then become the perfect hitter in the next half of the inning. I know Jr is off somewhere in Whitesox land and Edgar is spending most of his time in Puerto Rico AND I can still see Randy Johnson overwhelming the hitters with his speed......I just love the beauty of the power, speed and discipline all coming together for that precious instant of perfection.....I have watched some of the Olympics and Michael Phelps is in a class by himself....the Wayne Gretsky of swimming..........beauty, speed, power all placed into an olympic instant......namaste
