res·o·nance - noun
"Electricity- that condition of a circuit with respect to a given frequency or the like in which the net reactance is zero and the current flow a maximum." This definition of resonance as electricity is a great scientific way of the truth - we are all energy. What frequency do you choose to resonate at?

StoryCorps Day of Listening

In case you are like me, and will not be standing in line for the shopping day of the year on Friday - how about spending November 28 as the Day of Listening? If you don't know about StoryCorps already - please spend a few minutes to learn about them.
Their mission is simple (all good ones are): "Our mission is to honor and celebrate one another’s lives through listening." Check out this one example to wet your appetite and consider going into one of their recording centers to record your stories:
“It’s an easy job. One street goes uptown, one goes downtown.”
Hyman Bloom (L) tells fellow taxicab driver Andrew Vollo (R), about driving a cab for over 30 years. Hyman Bloom retired in 2007.
StoryCorps is full of Resonant Men (and women). I am so grateful for those who created this project and for the Day of Listening. I know it will be challenging for me to keep that focus this Friday - with my wife and children as we relax at home AND I know the day is simply a reminder to always do my best to listen to others truth - just as I express my own.

  1. Listening, so simple and powerful a tool to spread love and caring. Everytime, I know I have given a listening ear to a friend or a child at Dream A Dream, I know they have gone away peaceful and happy. I continue to try to listen not only to others but also to my inner voice. Thank you.
